Computer coursework and multi-media presentations are used to make learning an interesting experience for students. Students are not restricted to the classroom environment. They also take part in outdoor activities and sports. Individual assessment of each student is done to ensure every student is on right track towards progress. Trained professionals make study schedule to enhance academic growth of students. Minimum of 6 hrs instruction is provided every day. All students attending the academy are required to earn 24 credits according to Iowa Academic Standards.

Progress Reports

Progress reports are sent out by the Registrar on a quarterly basis. The reports contain details about credits earned from previous schools; credits requirements of Midwest Academy, details of classes the student is currently taking; units completed; and units pending. The updated Report is mailed at the end of each month.

Transcripts

An official copy of the transcript is issued to the student and another to the college of the student's choice at the end of the session. Additional copies can be requested on additional payment of $10.00. Transcripts requested by other junior high or high schools do not carry any charge.

Parents are responsible for taking the transcripts sent to Midwest Academy back. Any errors that the transcripts may have need to be addressed by the parent to their previous school. Midwest Academy Transcripts need be requested two weeks in advance.

Diplomas

Diplomas are sent by certified mail within two weeks after a student leaves the facility. PCIII graduations hold a High School graduation ceremony. On receiving the fees, diplomas will be mailed to students’ homes. Any queries regarding progress reports, transcript, and diploma questions can be sent to the Academic Supervisor.
